Sharing worldviews and strengthening our knowledge and understanding
We are all interested in what others think and have a genuine interest in understanding the differences among us. However, we all feel differently about sharing thoughts, ideas, and personal opinions in class. Some of us share more; some less. How can we achieve our goal of developing an anthropological perspective, learning about diversity through considerations of the past, and learning about anthropology without active participation from all of us?
One of my answers to this question suggests that we occasionally use an anonymous response system in class. Such a system can be fun, interactive, and uncover more than traditional classroom discussions. We can also use a response system to strengthen our memory and understanding of key concepts discussed in the class.
To share your responses, please follow the steps below and be ready to respond to the first questions on the second day of class:
1. Create a student account, select "Create a New Account" (click links).
2. Do not register or order a remote. You will use your smart phone, laptop, or tablet. Select "Not at this time"
3. Click the + button at the top right corner of the webpage to create an account
4. Select Colorado College
5. Search on my last name, Ingram, to find the course
6. Select the course: AN100 Human/Being
7. Select "Add this Course"
8. Additional questions, here is the Student Support page.
You will receive a two-week FREE trial. After the 2-week period we will decide if we will purchase and continue to use the software.
