evolution concepts, readings, and Key concepts quiz
Does evolutionary theory explain the differences we see among us---in this classroom and the world? How does it help us explain these differences? How does it not help us? Answering these questions is the reason we will focus on evolution during Week 3.
Additionally, learning some key evolutionary concepts and associated evidence for evolution expands what we understand about evolution and allows us to conduct informed conversations and interpret the world around us. The following are the key concepts I would like you to learn as a result of taking this course. If you take a biological anthropology or biology course they will provide you with a strong foundation.
To demonstrate your competence with these concepts/terms, you will have an opportunity to take a quiz on Canvas. The quiz will be available for a limited period of time (see course schedule). You may take the quiz up to three times to maximize your points. This quiz is to be taken individually and without notes or other resources, such as the internet. The quiz is time limited to 30 minutes and will consist of multiple choice, true/false and matching questions. The quiz will also include questions from the readings covering evolution and questions from the Key Concepts quiz.
