self introduction
The intent of the introductions are (1) to give you practice as these short introductions happen all our lives and they matter for our careers, (2) to help us all get to know each other better because soon we will be forming working teams.
The content of your introduction should at a minimum include your name (slowly and clearly stated), your major, and year in school. I would also recommend you tell us something about what you are interested in regarding sustainability, collapse, the environment, etc. What could you say that would help others decide if they want to work in the same team with you? You don’t need to limit your self-introduction to your interests regarding sustainability, etc. Tell us (like you would a potential colleague or employer) what you want us to know about you. Please, no Powerpoint slides as we don’t have time.
The introduction should last no more than one minute. You should make of point of trying to look each person in the eye as you are making your introduction and try not to talk too quickly. This is not a graded activity; it is a learning opportunity.
We will arrange the chairs in a circle and you can stand or remain seated during your introduction.
I am looking forward to learning more about all of you.
