Additional Reading notes
Reading the articles/chapters selected for this course are the primary method of learning about the rise of civilization. 25% of your course grade is devoted to reading notes you produce from these readings. You earn 1 to 3 points for each reading note you effectively complete.
To encourage you to carefully read the articles/chapters assigned and learn to "see" the argument and evidence presented in many scholarly written works, I am offering additional points for each Reading Note you submit beyond the 25 points allocated for this Learning Activity. These points will be added to the total points you earn from all Learning Activities. Think of them as extra credit or insurance against a lower than expected evaluation of another assignment.
