Activity 1:    Introductory concept map (in-class exercise), (More about concept mapping here)
Activity 2:    Reactions to "In Search of the Old Ones" (required)
Activity 3:    "In Search of..." More Knowledge
Activity 4:    Inference: the Source of Archaeological Knowledge of the Past
Activity 5:    "Paper Excavation" (can only be completed in-class) 
Activity 6:    Quantitative archaeology 
Activity 7:    Meet with the instructor (can be completed at any time but needs to be completed by 1 Nov--deadline extended)
Activity 8:    Argument Mapping (strongly recommended)
Activity 9:    Argument mapping of an archaeology journal article 
Activity 10:  Link chapter concept maps together up to Chapter 9
Activity 11:  Argument mapping of an archaeology journal article  
Activity 12:  Oral presentation of a scientific-style argument (required for an A)
Activity 13:  Travel Plan  
Activity 14:  Lessons from the Past  
Activity 15:  Timeline  
Activity 16:  Linking chapter concept maps  (required as it replaces a final exam; counts as one activity toward your total activities) 

All activities are due in class as noted on the course schedule.  Some activities can only be completed in-class.  Most activities are completed out-of-class.  To be fair to all students, late activities cannot be accepted.
